On Saturday, we spent the day at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. If you live in southern CA (and have a young child), I would highly recommend buying a membership! Riley really enjoys seeing the fish and birds and playing in the little water splash area outside. One of my favorite exhibits is the Lorikeet Forest, where you can purchase nectar to feed the birds while you walk through.
Last month, I purchased some rain gear in anticipation of El Niño, but have been quite disappointed in the lack the storms’ appearance – we desperately need rain in California! I was so happy to get some use out of my rain gear on Sunday morning. These were taken before the husband and I left to have a (rare) day date, since my MIL was over to watch Riley. We had yummy tofu soup and finally watched Star Wars.
I love this little bubble umbrella! While my husband and I were walking to lunch, the wind kept blowing his traditional umbrella inside out, but mine stayed intact and shielding me from the rain really well. And of course, it’s really cute 😉
Hope you all had a great weekend!
