MINDFUL MONDAY // 2/11/19

Oh hello, Monday.

Let’s take some mindful moments before we start our day.

This little Monday Mindfulness series is a chance for me to give space to take a pause, share thoughts and things that I’ve been loving and appreciate the little moments in life.

MINDFULNESS

// The Art of Mindful Flower Arranging

I bought flowers from Trader Joe’s this weekend so that my friends could take some time to make flower arrangements to take home with them during my Galentine’s Brunch yesterday – and I think it was a hit! As you can tell from my Instagram, I love having fresh flowers in the home and enjoy the mindful process of picking and arranging them into a vase.

Similar to a bouquet of flowers, mindfulness is the practice of focusing your awareness on the present moment and has been found to increase overall happiness. Flower arranging allows you to find presence and relax – and it’s rewarding! I highly encourage you to take a few moments to yourself through flower arranging.

MINDFUL STYLE + BEAUTY

// Sézane Jumper + Skirt

Another look from my current favorite brand. I’ve recently been drawn to longer skirts that are below the knee and midi length – currently crushing on this one. I also admire for their philanthropic and sustainable commitments. Read about them here! I also admire for their philanthropic and sustainable commitments. Read about them here!

MINDFUL LIVING

// Mighty Fix

My sister gifted me a subscription to Mighty Fix, a service that sends eco-friendly home products every month. My 1st shipment were these hand spun, all-natural wool dryer balls. Before these, I wasn’t using any dryer sheets because I learned that they are not good for the environment and can also be harmful to your health. I love that these dryer balls are reusable and earth-friendly and it also reduces energy per load by shortening the drying time all while softening my clothes and reducing annoying static cling (win-win-win!).

MINDFUL CONSUMPTION

// Gluten-Free Waffles

For my Galentine’s day brunch, I made a fun do-it-yourself waffle bar and offered these yummy gluten-free waffles, sugar-free syrup and non-dairy whipped cream! With some fruits and a little sprinkle of cinnamon, you couldn’t even tell the difference. I’ll be sure to make these for the girls for breakfast on Valentine’s Day <3

MINDFUL MOTHERHOOD
