Oh hello, Monday.
Let’s take some mindful moments before we end our day.
This little Monday Mindfulness series is a chance for me to give space to take a pause, share thoughts and things that I’ve been loving and appreciate the little moments in life.
It’s been a while since I posted my last Mindful Monday! I had been feeling a little burnt out and overwhelmed with all the stuff that I have on my plate, but I’m slowly learning how to say no to the things (and people) that no longer serve me to free up space for the things that bring me joy – like my little space on the internet (my blog) as well a my new venture that you can read about below! <3
I’m super excited to announce that I will be hosting a Meditation Circle at the Skydeck of the Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach alongside my dear friend, Erica, every Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30! (Queue: happy dance!)
Mindfulness and meditation have been a huge part of my life for the last couple of years and has helped tremendously with my anxiety, confidence, and communication. It’s also helped me to slow down and be more present in my daily life – something that is super important to me. If you are local to the South Bay, I would love for you to come to one of our upcoming circles!
If you’re not local, I would love for you to join my personal Facebook Group where I’ll share resources on how to incorporate mindfulness as well as how to infuse ethical + sustainable fashion in your life <3
MINDFUL STYLE + BEAUTY
I first wore this dress last summer during a trip to Mexico and then again during the holidays. I recently wore it again for my birthday dinner with friends a couple of weekends ago (cheers to 37 years!). I love how versatile and comfortable this dress is and the crisp white color instantly makes you look polished.
When I started my Ethical Fashion journey about a year ago now, Everlane, was (and still is!) my go-to place for finding high-quality basics and investment pieces at affordable prices. I love that the company is super transparent on how their pieces are made, the factories that they partner with and the thought process on pricing their products. If you have been thinking about transitioning your closet to a more ethical one, I would definitely start with Everlane.
I recently found my old Silpat while cleaning and organizing my pantry and I’m so glad that I did since I had run out of parchment paper. Silpat is a non-stick baking mat that provides even heat transfer and is non-stick, so great for cookies! It’s a great way to reduce waste in your kitchen!
When I was in high school, I used to work at this smoothie shop called Surf City Squeeze and my favorite drink was a banana, blueberry smoothie with bee pollen. Though, I remember it being high in sugar so I was excited to find a similar drink at a local spot that is non-dairy and higher in protein, with no added sugar… and it’s super delicious! A not-so-guilty pleasure 🙂 I brought my own glass jar from Saje and Eco-Tribe stainless steel straw to take the drink to-go!
Reading is huge in our house! We love this story of Little Joe Chickapig – a story of inspiration and never giving up on your dreams.
